The Nerd
The Nerd doesn't invent the signal. The Nerd decodes it.
Curiosity is the instrument. Every anomaly has a pattern. Every pattern has intent.
The Nerd takes what the Worms bring back and asks the only question that matters: what would this become if it got loose?
